Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today, and forever.
Hebrews 13:8

core values

PEOPLE MATTER God loves people and so do we. We believe that single people, married people, children and the elderly are all valuable members of God’s family. We seek to support and build healthy relationships in accordance with Christ’s command to love one another. We endeavor to be accepting, patient and forgiving, believing that love is the perfect bond of unity. (John 3:16; John 13:34; Col. 3:12-14)

EVANGELISM We believe that a simple and understandable presentation of Jesus Christ will transform the lives of those who hear it. As a church, we are committed to finding opportunities to present the Gospel. Jesus’ pattern is for each of us, as believers, to communicate the Gospel to those within our spheres of influence. Our hope is to see our body grow largely through adding new believers. (Rom. 10:14; Matt. 28:19-20; James 5:20; 1 Cor. 9:22; Acts 1:8)

WORSHIP We believe we are called to worship God in all that we do. Worshipping the Lord with all of our hearts, minds, souls and strength draws us close to Him. As we worship, His presence draws people to Himself. Therefore, we make it a priority to enter into free and expressive worship within biblical boundaries. (Matt. 22:37; Mark 12:30; Luke 10:27; John 4:24; John 12:32; Rom. 14:20)

THE WORD We believe in preaching and teaching the living and inspired Word of God. The truths of the Bible will never change; however, the manner in which we present them may, in order to reach the hearts of people of all ages and experiences. We encourage each other to study the Bible in personal, small group, and corporate settings. (1 Peter 1:23; 2 Peter 1:21; Heb. 4:12; 1 Cor. 9:22; 2 Tim. 3:16)

PRAYER We believe that prayer is essential and powerful. Prayer draws us into a deeper relationship with God. The power of prayer brings people into wholeness through physical, spiritual and emotional healing. We recognize that we have been given all authority and power in Christ to break bondages, generational curses and strongholds. Prayer is vital to accomplishing God’s purposes. Therefore, we make prayer a priority in our personal lives and in every aspect of the life of the church. (James 5:16; Ps. 86:6-7; 1 John 4:14-15; Eph. 6:18; 1 Thes. 5:1~)

GROWTH We believe that God’s desire is for every individual to commit to a lifestyle of consistent spiritual growth. Spiritual growth includes allowing Christ to renew our minds, change our lifestyles, and equip us for ministry .In order to support this growth we make discipleship a priority for the church as a whole, so that each person becomes grounded in the Word, trained in prayer, established in fellowship and active in evangelism. (Heb.10:25; Rom. 12:2; Heb. 6:1; 1 Pet. 2:2)

SPIRITUAL GIFTS We believe that people of all ages possess spiritual gifts to be used in ministry for the strengthening of the church. Therefore, we are committed to making church a safe place to help believers discover, develop and use their gifts. We are committed to prayer for the baptism with the Holy Spirit, which enables people to minister in power. The empowering of the Holy Spirit enables us to walk in greater victory and more effectively reach the lost. (Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4; Rom. 12:6,8; 1 Cor. 12:1-11; 1 Cor. 14:9,12,26; Eph. 4:11-12)

EQUIPPING We believe God has called all of His people to minister in His Body. Each person is a vital part of the Body, with specific ministries to which God has called them. Therefore, we recognize, equip, release and support servant-hearted leaders of all ages. (1 Cor. 10:17; 1 Cor. 12:12-27; Eph. 2:10; Eph. 4:11-16; 2 Tim. 2:2)

FRUITFULNESS We believe that ministries should be fun and fruitful. We look for evidence of effectiveness in each area of ministry and make modifications as needed. The purpose of structure in our church is to support ministry. Ministry is not to support our structure, and structure is never to stifle the work of the Holy Spirit. (Ecc. 10:10; Luke 13:6-9; Col. 3:17)

MISSIONS We believe we are called to share the hope we have in God in our communities, in our nation and even to the ends of the earth. Therefore, we actively support the work of the church beyond our local fellowship. Through prayer, giving financially, supporting those who go, or going ourselves we obey Christ’s call to make disciples of all nations. We are excited about being part of the Body of Christ worldwide. (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)
